Royal Cornwall Show -4th-13th June
We were so looking forward to a week away from the grind stone - only four more days to go - bring, bring,- help, please can you assist us at the rally as our Val is going into hospital (get well soon Val!) - yes no problem but we cannot get there until 6pm on Friday, at this point with some discussion Matt & Paula agree to cover the first weekend. (Thanks so much). From the photographs you can see that the field was not quite ready for our arrival.
We arrive on site and erect that great big awning that Keith bought - it was just like on of the mini marquees. The weather was pretty good up until Monday and then the heavens opened - Oh! No is this what we have got all week? - no the weather just keeps on improving. There are vans arriving and leaving everyday.
More and More sunshine with the prospect of the Royal Cornwall Show just around the corner - what a spectacle this turned out to be, I would recommend it to anyone, so much to see and do. Thanks to the organisers. The sun is shining although it is a little breezy and on Wednesday evening we are treated to games of FREE prize bingo - lots of chocolate to be won.
On Friday our Flag Officers, Ann & Alan arrive - they seemed pre-occupied and we then found out that their daughter and her husband had had an accident on the way to Crealy - at least they are all OK, not so sure about the car & caravan though.
Watch England on the box - not such a good game, but what do we know about footie.
The finale on Saturday was the amazing sunset - Keith & I got lost in our thoughts whilst watching the sun go down - this was our first holiday without KYM and she would have been in her element on the rally field.
Oops! - here comes Monday and back to work.......................... Thanks to Gareth & Trudie and all the ralliers who joined us, our holiday was very special. Love Mary & Keith
