Chairmans Rally

14th- 16th May

I`m going to open this report with a plea ......... I forgot my camera ...... so i needs some photo's ...... PLEASE......

I guess me forgetting things can be put down to the fact that I had to pack stuff into the truck as i dodged showers and pouring rain, I then spent the day at work thinking yipeeeeeeee its brighting up !!!!!!

Well upon pulling into Launceston show ground I couldn`t have been more wrong, the heavens opened just as I started to wind down the legs..... But well you can only get wet once ( Now that's good advice...), so van set up , awning up, me VERY WET..... a quick bite to eat, and we were off to the Friday evening social.

Now the friday evening social was a game I had never seen before Card Bingo, we were given a pack of cards to share between four of us and as each card was called, if you had it you put down on the table, and once someone had got rid of all their cards, the game was over and you added up the value of the cards you had left.... Now you may have guessed I`m not the best at any type of bingo so once again I seemed to lose..........

Saturday Morning saw the business end of this rally, up and running with a coffee morning followed by the chairmans open forum, as always this is your chance to ask questions of the commitee.

Saturday afternoon the juniors held a fate to raise money for their charity, with a raffle a tombola etc etc....

Now saturday the rain had passed and the sun was shining...... so I took the chance just to sit in the sun and do as little as possible and I must say SORRY to all the juniors who kept coming over to see if I wanted to play football, but I`m not the sporty type and just kept saying in a bit......

Now Saturday night social's are normally good but , this one promised to be a bit different, with a professional act, Marzipan, a cabaret due who told Jokes, sung songs, Did a magic act.... And basicaly just entertained, what an evening............... During their break the draw took place and nowIi won a lovely hat and I believe there are are some lovely photos of our chairman posing in this hat ..... ANYONE ?

Sunday morning we attended flagpole, excellently conducted by our vice chairman and then the nightmare of taking the centre marquee down in the pouring rain, but a big thankyou to all the volunteer's who got soaking wet......
